Pictures, first day in Agra, 3 of 3

Just think about how exact the sculptor of this stone-carved latticework had to be? One slip of the chisel, and you'd have to start all over.

Like the Taj Mahal, the Baby Taj had a pretty impressive entrance gate. This gate is where we found the monkeys climbing and playing.

Lily running around barefoot in the puddles made by a recent downpour at the Baby Taj, chasing a monkey. (This was before the monkeys attacked the kids.)

The view of the Taj Mahal from our hotel balcony. Our hotel was only about a tenth of a mile from the Taj, but it couldn't be seen from the street in front of the hotel.

The petty-cab driver who ran and got his bicycle-cab when he heard Dad say he didn't want to take an auto-rickshaw. We were all smiles until we discovered the driver's intention of taking us to many shops, trying to get a commission from the merchants from what we would spend in these shops.

When the petty-cab driver said he was tired, Dad volunteered to pedal for awhile.
